Former RTNN Student Ambassador and NC State alumna Abby Carbone, recently joined the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO) on the “Stories from the NNI” podcast to discuss her passion for science outreach. “Stories from the NNI” is a podcast where researchers and innovators discuss their work at the nanoscale, the challenges they’ve faced, and how they’ve connected with the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI).

Apply Now: National Student Leaders Conference
In coordination with the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy and the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, TechConnect will host the 4th annual National Student Leaders Conference June 17-19, 2019 in Boston, MA. This event aims to connect global student leaders with corporate, investment, and policy experts to support student leaders in science, technology & business. Student specific programming will include a Career Pathways panel, an Entrepreneurship panel, and a other professional development activities. Students are also invited to participate in the larger TechConnect conference.
All accepted applicants will be provided:
- Registration Waiver to the 3-day TechConnect World Innovation Conference
- Participation in the Student Leaders Program during the Conference
- Recognition as a Emerging Technology Student Leader Awardee

Celebrate National Nanotechnology Day!
National Nanotechnology Day will be held on October 9, 2018. In the spirit of the day, RTNN invites you to “Explore Nano” at the Chapel Hill Public Library. Visitors will participate in a variety of hands-on nano-themed activities.
The National Nanotechnology Coordinating Office (NNCO) is spearheading the celebration, which includes a variety of community-led events and activities to raise awareness of the significance and importance of nanotechnology. “Small Talk” Live Q&A on National Nanotechnology Day
National Nanotechnology Day will be held on October 9, 2017. In the spirit of the day, RTNN will host two live nano Q&A sessions online on October 10th. Prior to the event, submit questions here.
